Purpose
To advance physicians' knowledge about von Willebrand Disease (VWD)
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians involved in the care of patients with VWD.

This educational series has been designed to advance clinical practice to affect positive change in the treatment and care of patients with VWD.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this series, participants should be better able to:
- Discuss challenges in diagnosis and treatment
- Review recent clinical evidence
- Describe gender-specific issues in treatment
- Explain the newest treatment options
- Discuss acquired von Willebrand Syndrome (AVWS)
- Review diagnostic and treatment case studies
- Understand the role of the hemostasis
pharmacist within the multidisciplinary care
team
- Understand preoperative and postoperative management

to pharmacists.) If you are not eligible to receive CME credit for this activity, you may request a certificate of participation by checking the appropriate box on the evaluation form.
Method of Participation
There are no fees for participating and receiving CME credit for this activity. During the periods specified for each topic, participants must 1) read the learning objectives and faculty disclosures; 2) study the educational activity; 3) complete the posttest by recording the best answer to each question in the answer key on the evaluation form; 4) complete the evaluation form; and 5) submit the evaluation form with answer key to ProMed Institute.
A statement of credit will be issued only upon receipt of a completed activity evaluation form and a completed posttest with a score of 70% or better.
