Dr. Federici is associate professor of hematology at the University of Milan, appointed to the department of internal medicine and to IRCCS Maggiore Hospital of Milan.
Dr. Federici is the present chairman of the Scientific Sub-Committee (SSC) on VWF of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH). He is also a hematologist consultant for the National Cancer Institute of Milan and a scientific partner and assistant coordinator of the European project, �Molecular and Clinical Markers of Diagnosis and Management of Type 1 von Willebrand Disease.�
Dr. Federici graduated summa cum laude with a degree in medicine from the University of Milan. He also received specialty degrees in clinical and experimental hematology, internal medicine, and oncology from the University of Pavia in Italy. Dr. Federici�s professional affiliations include the Italian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, the American Society of Hematology, the Italian Society of Hematology, the European Hematology Association, and the Italian Society of Experimental Hematology.
