Dr. Mathew is a professor and fellowship director of pediatric hematology/oncology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also director of the Ted R. Montoya Hemophilia Center in Albuquerque. Dr. Mathew has been nominated for "Best Faculty Clinical Teacher" for the past few years by the department of pediatrics at the University of New Mexico.
Dr. Mathew has written several articles on the subject of bleeding disorders which have been published in such peer-reviewed journals as Thrombosis and Haemostasis and Haemophilia. He belongs to numerous professional organizations and international committees. He is presently chairing/co-chairing studies with the Children's Oncology Group and serving as co-chair of the pediatric/perinatal hemostasis subcommittee of the SSC, ISTH.
Certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology, Dr. Mathew graduated from Bombay University, Bombay, India and completed his residency training in pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. He earned a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
